Biography

Professor Ye Li received his BSc and MSc degrees from University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), Chengdu, China, and the Ph. D. degree from Arizona State University, AZ, U.S. He is currently a full professor in Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology (SIAT), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). He is also the vice director of the key laboratory of health informatics, CAS, and the vice president of National Institute of health and medical big data, UCAS. Professor Ye Li’s research interests include wearable sensing and computing, health informatics and medical big data analysis. Besides more than 140 papers, he has published 47 SCI-indexed journal papers as the first or corresponding author, among of which 20 of papers were published in IEEE journals. He serves as the Area Editor of Information Fusion Journal (IF=10.716), International Advisory Board Member of Physiological Measurement Journal (IF=2.246), and Guest Editor of IEEE Sensors Journal (IF=3.076) etc. He was also the conference chair of BHE 2017, session chair of IEEE BHI2019, SMC2019 etc.    
Professor Ye Li has 62 patents authorized (2 by U.S. and Japan), and 6 International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and China Communications Standards Association (CCSA) standard proposals of E-health admitted. At present, 8 of the patents were transferred to enterprises and the transformation funds exceeded 1 million USD dollars. And 2 wearable products were granted the medical devices registration certificate from CFDA in 2017. The developed wearable devices and system have been applied to monitoring life signal of submerged members in “Jiaolong” deep manned submersible since 2013 and have been serving more than 3.62 million family users in China by the end of 2018.
